Privacy Policy for LookLab AI

This Privacy Policy explains how Imixlab, TOV (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the LookLab AI mobile application (the “App”).

By using the App, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Imixlab, TOV is the operator of LookLab AI.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed in connection with your use of the App, including when you upload a selfie or other photo to generate hairstyle visualizations.

3. What We Collect

We keep data collection to a minimum.

3.1 Uploaded Selfie or Photo

To use the App, you upload a selfie or other photo. This uploaded image is the only user content we store on our server.

We use this image only to provide the App’s functionality, including generating hairstyle visualizations.

3.1.1 Face Data

The App may process face data only when the user chooses to upload a selfie or other photo that contains a face.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “face data” means the visible image of the user’s face contained in the uploaded selfie or photo. The App does not collect, create, or store face geometry, face maps, face embeddings, biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or other data used to identify or authenticate a person by their face.

We use the uploaded selfie or photo only to provide the App’s core functionality: generating hairstyle, hair color, beard, and mustache preview images on the user’s own photo.

We store the uploaded selfie or photo for the following reasons:

  • to generate the requested hairstyle, hair color, beard, or mustache previews;
  • to allow the user to reuse their current uploaded selfie in the App without uploading the same photo again for every generation;
  • to associate the uploaded selfie with the user’s anonymous technical account so the correct generation jobs and results are returned to the correct device;

The App allows only one current uploaded selfie or photo per user at a time. If the user uploads a new selfie or photo, the previous uploaded selfie or photo is replaced.

We do not use face data for facial recognition, biometric identification, identity verification, authentication, advertising, user tracking, or selling personal data.

3.2 Generated Images

The App generates hairstyle preview images on our servers.

We do not store generated images on our servers. Generated images are deleted from our systems shortly after processing and delivery to the App.

3.3 Anonymous Technical Account

To make the App work, we create an internal anonymous technical account or identifier in the background. This account is not a user-facing registered account and does not require an email address or password.

Its purpose is only to allow the App to function technically, including associating your uploaded selfie with your current app usage.

3.4 Analytics Data

We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4, to collect anonymous or pseudonymous technical usage data, such as app interactions, device-related information, crash information, and general usage statistics.

We use this information only to understand usage, improve the App, troubleshoot issues, and maintain performance and stability.

3.5 What We Do Not Store

Except as described above, we do not store other personal information about you on our server. In particular, we do not store:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number;
  • your physical address;
  • your precise location;
  • your contacts;
  • your messages;
  • payment information.
  • face geometry, face maps, face embeddings, biometric identifiers, or facial recognition templates.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above only to:

  • provide the hairstyle generation functionality of the App;
  • temporarily process uploaded photos to generate results;
  • keep your uploaded selfie available while your anonymous account remains active;
  • allow you to reuse your selfie within the App while your account remains active;
  • let you delete your selfie from within the App;
  • operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App;
  • analyze anonymous or pseudonymous usage patterns through analytics tools.

5. How Long We Keep Information

5.1 Generated Images

We do not retain generated hairstyle images on our servers. They are deleted shortly after processing and delivery.

5.2 Uploaded Selfie and Face Data Retention

We may store the user’s current uploaded selfie or photo on our server while the user continues using the App.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the user is considered to be using the App while the App is opened or used from time to time. The user’s anonymous technical account becomes inactive if the user does not use the App for 14 consecutive days.

We store the current uploaded selfie or photo only for as long as needed to provide the App’s functionality. The reason for storing it while the user continues using the App is to let the user reuse the current selfie for multiple hairstyle, hair color, beard, or mustache generations without uploading the same photo again each time, and to make sure generation jobs are associated with the correct device.

The App allows only one current uploaded selfie or photo per user at a time. If the user uploads a new selfie or photo, the previous uploaded selfie or photo is replaced.

The user may delete the uploaded selfie or photo at any time from within the App. When the user deletes the selfie in the App, we delete it from our server.

We do not store uploaded selfies, photos, or face data indefinitely.

5.3 Inactive Accounts

The user’s anonymous technical account becomes inactive if the user does not use the App for 14 consecutive days.

When an anonymous technical account becomes inactive, we delete the account and the associated uploaded selfie or photo from our server without prior notice.

We use this 14-day period to give the user a limited ability to return to the App and continue using their current uploaded selfie without uploading it again, while also limiting how long uploaded selfies or photos containing face data remain on our servers.

When an inactive anonymous technical account is deleted, the associated uploaded selfie or photo is also deleted from our server.

Deletion of an inactive account and its associated uploaded selfie or photo cannot be reversed or restored. If the user uses the App again later, the App may create a new anonymous technical account, and the user may need to upload a new selfie.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • performance of a contract or taking steps at your request to provide the App’s features;
  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the App;
  • your consent, where required by law;
  • compliance with legal obligations.

7. Service Providers and Analytics

We may use trusted third-party providers to help operate the App, such as cloud infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, and technical service providers.

These providers may process limited information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services to us.

In particular, the App uses Google Analytics 4 for analytics. Google may process certain technical data in accordance with its own terms and privacy documentation.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited information only in the following cases:

  • with service providers acting on our behalf to operate the App;
  • where necessary to protect the security, rights, or property of the Company, users, or others;
  • where required by law, court order, or governmental request;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, where permitted by law.

9. International Transfers

Depending on the location of our infrastructure or service providers, limited data may be processed outside your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate measures for such transfers.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights such as:

  • the right to access information about your personal data;
  • the right to request correction of inaccurate data;
  • the right to request deletion of your personal data;
  • the right to object to or restrict certain processing;
  • the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

In-App Selfie Deletion

The App allows you to delete your uploaded selfie. When you use this feature, we will delete the selfie from our server.

Because the App uses anonymous technical accounts rather than user-facing registration, some rights requests may require enough technical information to help us identify your data in our systems.

11. Children

The App is intended for general audiences and is not specifically directed to children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data in violation of applicable law, please contact us and we will review the matter.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Third-Party Platforms

If you download the App through Apple’s App Store or use features supported by third-party platforms or providers, those third parties may process certain information under their own privacy policies and terms.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App or by other reasonable means.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated version, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
